There will be a memorial Aug.5 at Hurlburt Field FL to commemorate the lives of the special operators lost on 8/7/02 when Talon 13 crashed while conducting a routine training flight from Naval Air Station Roosevelt Roads to Borinquen Air National Guard Base in Puerto Rico.
A memorial service was held 7/8/22 in Louisville, Ky., for two other victims, both Kentucky Air National Guard members: Staff Sgt. Martin A. Tracy, 33, of Louisville, and Tech. Sgt. Christopher A. Matero, 31, of Greenville, Ind. Both were special tactics operators. Also killed was Capt. Panuk P. Soomsawasdi, 36, of Windsor, N.C., who was a Special Tactics Officer stationed in Puerto Rico as a liaison officer with the U.S. Southern Command. |
