CCF at Legends in Odessa TX

Combat Control Foundation Celebrates an Evening with Special Guests and CCT’s at LEGENDS Honky Tonk Saloon Annual CCF Fundraiser.

Legends Honky Tonk Saloon graciously hosted the CCF fundraiser in Odessa Texas on November 19th, 2022. Every table was filled, and we had more than 250 supporters join us for an evening of festivities that included “Tell-Me-A-Story”, in which our guests sat with CCT heroes to hear intimate storytelling for a few laughs and tears as our guys opened their hearts.

Master of Ceremony and Board Chairman Chris Crouch led the way with his infectious humor and unwavering smile throughout the evening as guests laughed and sipped on Texas sized beverages during the lively auction that raised donations in support for CCT’s Resilience, Health, Education and Heritage.

Everyone was wildly entertained by CCF supporter Cole Hauser who plays “Rip” on the hit series Yellowstone. Cole’s blue button-down shirt that was worn during Season 1 of Yellowstone caused a bidding war. One lucky lady got Cole’s shirt and a hug from our handsome CCT Jesse, who modeled it for a whopping $120,000 dollars.

Master Storyteller and Guest Speaker Dan Schilling kept the entertainment going by delivering an inspiring talk that celebrated our CCT Heroes. Dan is the Executive Film Producer and Author of New York Times Bestseller “Alone at Dawn”, who’s story is about Medal of Honor recipient John Chapman and the untold story of the World’s Deadliest Special Operations Force.

CCF Board Member, Mike West presented the Chapman Award to legendary event sponsors Karla Milson and Ronnie Rains for their unwavering support. This award represents the highest level of commitment to the CCT community core value of Service Before Self and the motto of Combat Control “First There” carried out by Medal of Honor recipient Master Sergeant John A Chapman. More tears and laughs were followed by live music, new friends and a few more pictures with our CCT’s.

All net proceeds will directly fund the Combat Control Foundation, assisting Combat Controllers and their families with resiliency support, education, (mental) health and heritage.

Combat Control Foundation is a 501(c)(3); donations are tax deductible.
